How to polish cars

1. Stages of polishing
Basically, the polishing is divided into two stages:
- the first is restorative polishing;
- the second is protective polishing.
Restorative polishing is usually done using abrasive pastes. Such a polishing removes the thinnest, very topmost layer of clearcoat, "beaten" by life, full of scratches, scuffs and chips - it already only spoils the appearance of the car, and therefore must be removed.
As a result, we get a fresh, beautiful, shiny car body. The TROTON company makes several polishes of this kind for achievement of the best effect.
These are the BRAYT series T ONE STEP, T 1 STRONG, T 11.
Now it is the turn of the protective polishing stage. It must be made immediately, on the newly restored coating. Remember that the last stage of polishing, we removed the layer clearcoat?
Of course, in such a condition, the car body should not be left in any case - it is subject to environmental influence much more than it was before. Therefore, immediately after removing the top layer of clearcoat, we apply a layer of polish for the body, which fills all the microcracks, the so-called pores, thereby preventing acid rain and other unpleasant effects from falling into them.
In addition, a protective polish will add to your car color saturation and excellent shine. Unfortunately, this polishing is not durable.
Experts recommend it be carried out regularly, every two to three months.
2. How to polish a car
Stage one - car preparation - body cleaning and degreasing. First, you first need to properly clean the car from dust, dirt and sand grains.
Then the paintwork must be dried and wiped dry with a clean cloth (preferably microfiber towel or artificial suede).
For a perfect result, you can clean the Paint And Glass Clay Bar to clean the body before polishing.
The second and most important stage - body polishing. At this stage, we will need a little more tools than a rag, water and Silicon Remover (or professional polishing products).
Instruments. Good polishing requires a professional polisher, such as Makita or FLEX. You can do and drill, but the vibration given in the hands will be stronger, which is not very good impact on their condition after.
Also need polishing wheels (polishing foam). Two - for coarse and fine polishing.
They can be wool and foam. It remains only to stock up on hard work and patience.
Well, let's get started. We start polishing with a paste with a rough abrasive, in our case T 1 STRONG. Apply it to the polishing pad, you can immediately from the bottle.
You need a small amount - about 10-20 grams, which is roughly equivalent to a teaspoon without top.
Little paste at a time is used so that it does not have time to dry. It follows that the surface area you will be polishing should also not be large - about 40 by 40 cm.
On the polishing machine we wear a circle designed for coarse polishing. These polishing foam are most often white in color (in the BRAYT POLISHING FOAM PROFI 6").
Then, without turning on the machine, we spread the paste evenly over the entire area of the treated surface.
After “smearing” it’s time to turn on the machine at the lowest speed and distribute the paste with the help of it over the entire surface, again evenly.
To avoid uneven polishing, movement must be carried out with a cross - first horizontally, then vertically. Repeat the "cross" you need two times,
then you should slightly increase the speed of the machine and repeat the procedure. And so a few more times.
Then, with a clean cloth or a soft microfibre cloth, remove the remaining polishing paste.
This is where our so-called “cycle” is completed, and you can proceed to the next small piece of surface.
And so, having processed the whole machine with polishing compound T 1 STRONG, do not hurry to relax.
Take the polish for the body ANTIHOLOGRAM and continue to add shine and color to the body, repeating the steps described above.
We use the red polishing pad.
By the way, the polishing sponge needs to be washed in warm water after every 3-4 treated areas. So that the sponge dries faster, you can roll it with a breeze, turning on the highest speed on a polisher machine.
Apply our paste on a soft, dry and clean cloth and distribute it in a circular motion around the entire polished element (last time we did it on a polisher). Do not be lazy! In no case do not let the bunches of pasta, pound everything as carefully as possible.
After that we wait a couple of minutes, and when the paste begins to turn white, which means to dry out, we take the machine, turn it on at medium speed and polish our area. With all the other pieces in exactly the same way.
The car is polished, the body shines, the color is saturated, you are no longer able to stand on your feet, but there is one more minor touch left - a protective polish.
The process of applying the "protector" is exactly the same as with paste T4.
T4 Protect liquid is a fine – grained polishing paste to refresh the surface which leave an
invisible protection film against the contamination. Increase the paint life by 40 – 50% and reduce dirt accumulation by 70 – 80%.
Do not forget to update the protective layer of polish at least once a month and you can be sure that the color, gloss and safety of your paintwork will not upset you!
